About VRAI

VRAI (formerly known as VRAI and Oro) is a sustainable fine jewelry and engagement ring company. Their diamonds are created from greenhouse gas crystallized in their foundry in America, and each carat helps save the climate. Founded in Los Angeles in 2014, VRAI is today expanding around the world with showrooms in the United States, Europe, and China. The company is owned by Diamond Foundry, and all of its diamonds are sourced exclusively from them.

Diamond Foundry is the world’s leading producer of high-quality, lab-grown diamonds. Their diamonds are grown in state-of-the-art facilities using cutting-edge technology, and their experienced team of diamond experts ensures that each diamond we produce meets the strictest standards of quality and perfection. VRAI uses only the highest quality diamonds in their jewelry.

VRAI is a legitimate company that uses real lab-grown diamonds. These diamonds are 100% authentic and identical to those mined from the earth. So, if you’re looking for beautiful, high-quality diamond jewelry, VRAI is definitely a brand worth considering.

Experiences & Complaints

Top Positive Reviews

“I paid $7100 for a wedding ring with a diamond. Great value, good quality, and service. Also, I recommend trying their virtual appointment. In my case, it was helpful. In general Happy with my first experience with VRAI.”

“My first shopping experience was very easy. The website navigation was simple, and the structure made sense. The only challenge I encountered was with the diamond inspection part of the buying process. This is critical for any diamond jewelry purchase, but it’s not always convenient to do in an online setting. Overall, though, I was pleased with my first purchase from VRAI.”

Top Complaint

“I bought an engagement ring from VRAI that cracked completely in half on the band in literally 3 months. The worst part is, that their “lifetime warranty” doesn’t cover “that type of damage”. After reviewing they, of course, found no issue, and offered me $100 to use on a new ring. And they’re telling me that literally in their entire life as a business they’ve never seen this.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How are VRAI lab-created diamonds different from earth-mined diamonds?

The main difference between lab-created diamonds and those mined from the earth is their origin. Lab-created diamonds are created in a controlled environment, while natural diamonds are formed over millions of years deep within the Earth’s crust. While both types of diamonds are chemically identical, there can be subtle differences in their physical properties. For example, natural diamonds often have tiny traces of impurities, while lab-created diamonds are usually completely pure.

Where to buy VRAI jewelry?

You can buy VRAI’s jewelry online at their official website and their physical showrooms. You can find VRAI’s showrooms in Los Angeles and San Francisco. You can also schedule a virtual appointment with one of VRAI’s Diamond Experts to walk you through their diamonds and settings from the comfort of your home.

What is the process for scheduling a VRAI virtual appointment?

To schedule a VRAI virtual appointment, you should visit the VRAI website and select the “Book an Appointment” button. From there, you will be able to choose a date and time that works for you. They will then send you a confirmation email with all of the details.

What is the process of buying loose diamonds from VRAI?

When you’re shopping for an engagement ring at VRAI, you have the option to buy a loose diamond. You can choose the specific diamond, rather than selecting a pre-set diamond. It gives you more control over the quality and characteristics of the stone. The process of buying a loose diamond from VRAI is simple. First, browse the selection of engagement rings and choose the style you love. Then, on the product page, select “loose stone” as your diamond option. You’ll be directed to the loose diamonds page, where you can search for the perfect stone using our filters. Once you’ve found a diamond you love, add it to your cart and checkout.

Are VRAI’s diamonds GIA certified?

VRAI diamonds are not GIA certified, but they have their own grading system. This is awarded to select diamonds of the high quality that exhibit the hearts and arrows effect. However, it’s important to note it is not comparable to the grading of an independent diamond institute. So we can’t know for sure what each grade means. But, with Diamond Foundry’s certification, we can be confident that their diamonds are of high quality.

How to inspect VRAI diamonds?

To inspect a VRAI diamond, you will need to view the high-definition videos available on their website. This will allow you to look for any imperfections, and assess brilliance and color. Additionally, you should examine the diamond certificate, which contains additional details about the diamond. The certificate will document where any imperfections are, and this will give you hints as to what part of the images and video you should pay closer attention to.

How much do VRAI pieces of jewelry cost?

The 1-carat diamond stud earrings at VRAI cost $1,400. The diamond bracelet with a weight of 2.80 total carats costs $4,950. The prices for necklaces start from $500, and the most expensive product, the Celestial Double Strand Tennis Necklace, costs $67,000. The cheapest diamond at VRAI costs $1,141, and the most expensive is $1,664.

Why are VRAI diamonds so cheap?

VRAI focuses only on selling lab-created diamonds. Lab-created diamonds are much less expensive than earth-mined diamonds because they are produced in a controlled environment, using advanced technological processes. Additionally, VRAI does not incur the significant costs associated with mining, which allows them to sell their diamonds at a lower price point. Additionally, as mentioned before VRAI diamonds are not GIA certified, which means that they may not meet the same standards as other diamonds. But VRAI offers a warranty on the validity of the grades. If an independent institute grades it differently, customers can get their money back. The problem is that such grading costs an additional $375. That is probably why VRAI did not find it necessary to have their diamonds independently graded. So, the lack of an independent grading report should be added to the true cost of VRAI’s diamonds and diamond jewelry. All of these factors make VRAI diamonds less expensive than other options on the market.

What is the difference between VRAI’s and other jewelry brands?

VRAI’s jewelry is different from other brands because of its unique designs. While other brands may offer colorful and creative jewelry, VRAI’s pieces are more subtle and elegant. The simple yet exquisite designs showcase them perfectly. You’ll find mostly unique pieces at VRAI that you won’t find anywhere else. VRAI’s jewelry is a great choice for people who want something a little out of the ordinary but still classic.

What is the difference between James Allen and VRAI lab-created diamonds?

The main difference is James Allen’s diamonds come with a certificate from a third-party diamond grading lab, such as the GIA or IGI. VRAI lab-created diamonds come with a diamond grading report from The Diamond Foundry – not from the GIA. When it comes to design, VRAI and James Allen rings have very different aesthetics. Even the minimalist James Allen rings don’t have the attention to detail that the VRAI ones have. So, if you like VRAI because of the aesthetics and not just because they’re lab-created. When it comes to price, James Allen is more affordable than VRAI. However, you do get what you pay for – the quality of the rings from VRAI is superior.

Can I create my jewelry from VRAI with diamonds less than 1-carat?

No. VRAI doesn’t offer the ability to create your jewelry with diamonds less than 1-carat. So, if you’re looking for an engagement ring or other piece of jewelry with a diamond or multiple diamonds less than 1-carat, VRAI may not be the best option for you.

How to Return Jewelry to VRAI?

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, VRAI accepts returns of jewelry within 30 days of delivery for a refund. A $200 USD recycling fee will be deducted from each engagement ring refund. A VRAI loose diamond can be returned within two weeks of receiving it. Engraved items are eligible for a return, however, the engraving fee is non-refundable. To request a return, email VRAI at support@VRAI.com. Their team will then send over a return shipping label for you to print out and attach to the package.
